Lynch (b. 1990) an emerging abstract artist from Richmond, VA moved his studio practice to Nashville, TN in 2017. Since then he has participated in numerous group shows and has crafted multiple solo exhibitions across various states in the mid-atlantic. Lynch’s paintings are a part of numerous private collections across the United States.
The artist currently lives and works in Nashville, TN.
Lynch’s work explores the idea of “fear”, living in the middle-ground between the real and the hypothetical; and one’s disproportionate psychological or physical response to stimuli. The feelings, thoughts, and topics discussed [whether real or imagined] can be seen expressed in pictorial form. It is not the aim of Lynch to arouse a feeling of fear, diffidence, or distress in the viewer; but to leverage creation to exorcise those feelings within himself and let the audience find themselves witnessing a moment of vulnerability. Through this experience, the artist casts aside any lingering doubts within himself and questions whether this fear is authentic or merely a fabrication; ultimately disposing of them as if they were pages of a journal set aflame.
